SeattleWorks SeattleWorks gives Seattle youth a way to participate in many volunteer arenas like social services, building communities and restoration, including many restoration events in Discovery Park.
Washington Conservation Corps (WCC) WCC provides hands-on experience in the environmental field to youth and pays them for their work. WCC provides active support to many GSP restoration sites in Discovery Park.
Seattle Conservation Corps (SCC) SCC provides homeless adults with opportunities to train and work in a structured program that provides them with job skills and carries out projects that benefit our citizens and our environment. SCC has participated in various restoration activities in Discovery Park, most recently in the invasive meadows South of the Capehart parcel.
United Indians of All Tribes (UIATF) Daybreak Star Center hosts an important ethnobotanical garden on site and always needs volunteers to help with that (and learn about culturally important native plants) as well as help with restoration of their 19-acre site.
