All these work parties are taking place in a site in Discovery Park that has been continuously restored since 1997. Over 6000 volunteer hours have been put into the restoration process for this 12 acre site. Since 2007, there are four parts of the site which have been enrolled in the Green Seattle Partnership. These work parties will do restoration in all four parts, but will concentrate on the meadows and bluffs just above Utah Boulevard as it winds from the Five Corners area to the Historic District. Most of this area is highly visible to anyone driving through the Park to the Lighthouse.
This web site was created in 2003 to document work on the entire 12 acre North Slope. That name is not used by GSP. Core areas of the NSRP were called Area31, Area24 and Area9 (from the early days of the Discovery Park Adopt-An-Area program). The links below take you to the details of Area31, the area where most of these work parties will take place.
